Meal Plan 27/01/13 - 02/01813

The weather has taken it's toll on my health this week, I've always found that if I can't exercise I also struggle to eat well. Its strange I know, I guess I'm a sort of an all or nothing kind of person in this respect. When I workout I feel great and I feel motivated to eat well, but when I know I can't I sort fell like: "one take out pizza isn't going to kill me!". I'm not going act like last week was that bad for eating, I just know that I had a couple of bad meals and I ate more chocolate then I would have liked.

The weather really ruined it for me because not only could I not go for any runs, but both of my hockey games (as well as training) got called off, which cuts out 3 days of exercise straight away. Combine this with my car breaking down meant I was unable to go to a gym or swimming pool without walking several miles in heavy snow. I know I could have worked out at home, but I felt pretty defeated this week as I have a very cardio mindset this week.

Now that I've finished with my excuses I can move on to this week...... My car is working again and I'm hopeful of getting a good few runs in this week, especially as I should have my Garmin watch arriving (very excited, a review will be up very quickly for this I'm sure!) and the weather looks like its on the up! On a more professional level though, I start a new job on Monday, which will explain why all of my lunches this week are simple. I can't go cooking proper meals any more as I won't have a kitchen or the time to do anything major, plus I don't even know if this job will give me access to a microwave (If not then lunch will suck). 

I'm giving the skinny chicken patties another go as they impressed me last week, but I think I may edit the recipe slightly to try and boost some flavours I think it's lacking! I'm also trying a new curry recipe with the Butter Chicken on Saturday night, as well as trying to put a healthy spin on toad in the hole on Monday. I've got an exciting week ahead with a new job and my Garmin arriving, so I can't wait to begin!
